New guildportal website active for International guild.

Hey there,

Since Spellborn is down the International guild playerbase got a bit split up or in other words some went different ways in the choice of gameplay. A few of us have choosen Dungeon and Dragons as their current game and to keep the games separated I made a new guildportal website yesterday.
It can be found via http://international-ddo.guildportal.com
The three International websites that we have on Guildportal are connected to each other, you can find the others via the Alliances links.

Ventrilo server has changed!

Hey there,
Just to let you know that the ventrilo server we used is down.
I think it's because the server is run by a company that asks payments for it on a monthly, quarterly or yearly term.
Since Fireclaw was the one who made the payment(s) so far we thank him for that gift to the guild.
At the moment we're playing different games but somehow the ventrilo server was still in use because of the better soundquality then for example the ingame voice chat of Dungeons and Dragons online.

Yesterday I did a test to run a free ventrilo server on an old machine which I had.
It worked ok, but the ping times were pretty high and since it is on my own IP it can only handle a few people because of the limited bandwith of my internet connection.
This is of course nothing permanent but I can run it while playing DDO.

My question to you is : "do we as international guild still want a ventrilo server ?"

My best guess is yes, but then we'll have to make some payments together to get the same server up again.

As you can see the price for a 10 slot server (10 connections at once online) is 30.50 USD for a year or 57.41 USD for two years. This makes a price per day of 8.4 or 7.8 USD cent per day.
It seems to me that the ppl who still use it can get this amount together, or not ?
