just want to extend my apprecation to all the people that ran icc tonight we started on a continueation run fist ever hoot and rocked festergut and rotface's demented world for them good job all made an attempt at prof puke and a cpl trys at the dragon again just another hurdle for u ba people to get over and the way we have been movin i forsee soon to move on to clear the first wing and see what lies ahead i would also like to pat the grp that did helion sat on the back we didnt get past him but for our first time on him we did outstanding lookin forward to getting a team together and working on clearing that out and learning the fights so that we can sneek others in there too great work everybody big pat on the back from me to u all

Oops, we did it again!

The monday night ICC group completed the Gunship fight on Heroic difficulty for the first time last night.

We had help from Battlefield Titans ,who sat in for two of our raiders, but everyone did an excellent job.

With the ease with which we are now blowing through the first wing of ICC, I'm positive more Heroic kills will be forthcoming. Thanks and congrats to everyone on that run. You guys are great!

Just a quick heads-up to everyone: we moved up to number 144 on the guild progression (10m). Great job so far. Keep plugging away at ICC!

On another note, for those of you who read these news reels, we're looking for achievement dates. If you have completed ANY Ulduar achievements (10 or 25m), ANY OS achievements (10 or 25m), or any ICC 10m Achievements, please send them via in-game mail to Nenet. You can also post those dates as a comment to this news reel, but I think it'll be easier w/ the in-game mail. Thanks for your help, everyone!

i just want to extend a big congrats to all the people who participated in our icc run 05/24/10 we have finally cleared past marrowgar and moved on to also elimiate the next boss and the gunship i.e. funship great work to everybody this is a big step for us and i look forward to working with everyone to move on further. gratz to those who got some decent gear gbaz, bunny, and bec, and afnir we have labored long and hard and now we can all sit back (just for a moment) and give ourselves a big pat on the back. i also want to acknowledge afnir and chrome for there contributions and intell for which we all espically me appreciate great work everyone and lets get this down to a science so we can start fittin in the new 80's and get our guild up and ready to tackle this on 25 again grats to all

So far things have been going great around the guild. Recruitment is soaring and raids are running rampant. There really isn't too much an officer can ask for. For those of you who read the news, though, here's a few extra tidbits.

For those of you who don't know, there was a GM change-over recently. Confliction was relieved by Gatelord. I (Confliction) felt like I had just been a GM for too long, and it was time for new blood to get in there and run things, and of the other officers, it was pretty much just Gatelord's (George's) time to shine. Things are definitely going great in that direction.

We're doing great with the raids. Everyone should be checking their calander regularly at this point. Afnir is posting raids every chance he gets for every opportunity he can find, and Gatelord is running ICC rep runs every time he's bored (which is a lot of the time). Currently, if we would really like to move up on the progression list on www.wow-heroes.com, we should try to achieve one of the following: 10m Onyxia, the first phase of 10m ToC, or 1 drake up on 10m OS. Currently, we are unranked on the webpage b/c they decided it would be super cool to only show 188 of the guilds raiding on our server (we were 243rd before the change and before our most recent Ulduar achiev's). Also, it wouldn't hurt for us to finish up the LAST wing of Naxx. I know that safety dance is killing us, but we gotta do what we gotta do. Last note on raiding, we currently have ABOUT 30 individual accounts (53 toons) that have a level 80 and are ready to raid. That means (again) that we are looking forward to trying a 25m raid. Everyone keep your eyes on the calander (as I said before) and get ready for Gatelord to make an event. We need as MANY people to participate as possible for this to work.

One saved round for that last paragraph, I may be able to move our progression further, but I'll need information from EVERYONE in order to do it... If you could please, comment on this news feed with the DATE you achieved any WING achievements in Naxx, Uld, or ICC and the date of any other downed Ony's, Maly's, or Sartherion (including any achie's for leaving drakes up). This info would be MOST beneficial to me as I can manually upgrade us if we have at least 10 seperate people w/ the same achievements (for 10m) or at least 25 people for 25m achievements. That is all.

Once again, good job everyone, and keep up all the good work! We're still recruiting people, but please try to pay attention to the recruitment window on the right as well as the guild rules for promotion (listed in the more info in guild recruitment window). Update: Added a few new features to the webpage including a widget to vote on a guild Member of the Month. You can only vote for people who are members of the webpage, so if you want to vote for someone who isn't a member, encourage them to sign up! Also added a Vent Status widget on the home page (it's at the very bottom), a new achievement program for the webpage (the achievements themselves are mostly a secret, but if you ask me, I may tell you about a few)(you can find the most recent awards on the guild roster tab), and updated our guild progression on the roster tab.

Awesomeness abound!

Hello again, everyone!

Well, for those of you who have been online since the the realm came back online, you will notice that a lot of your ranks are all kinds of crazy different. Basically, the only people who are their CORRECT rank, are the officers and myself (the GM). I am currently working the new promotion / rank structure deal, but the server went down mid-work. (Officer note: if you would like to takeover where I left, please continue promoting people to "Temp Rank" number two). As I may or may not have said in the past, basically, people will be promoted every 20 lvls now instead of just 10. Also, there will be a specific rank for for the alts of officers and Jr. officers that will allow them a little more bank access w/o adding too much clutter to the roster. There will continue to be a New Recruit rank that we will be using as a probationary rank for the blatantly obvious 'new recruits' which will still also be used as a punishment rank for people who disobey any of the rules of the guild.... it's basically gonna be a catch-all rank. I hope that covers all of that.

On a completely seperate note... we moved up to 243rd (up from 278th)on the guild progression roster on WoW-Heroes.com! I know that probably seems like a "Yeah? Big deal, we're still pretty close to the bottom" thing to most, but that's pretty damn exciting for me. It shows a little sign of life in the guild. Along the same lines, I'm going to create a raid achievement thread post on the forums page, and I need everyone who cares to post all of the raids they have completed. The more participation, the better. Basically, if I have 10 people who have completed a 10m raid (whether it was at the same time or not), I can manually move us up the guild progression ladder (25 people must have completed a 25m raid in order to get credit for that raid). Anyhow, let's keep up the momentum.

New Event

There's a new event posted for weekly raid, Sapphiron, KT, and EoE if we have time. The time is 1000 AM server time Sunday Morning. I'm hoping for at least a 10m performance, but between Blade of War, Rider of Doom, and Seventh Legion, we may be able to do a 25man.

The new guild promotion system hasn't quite gone in to action. Be advised, that when the change over is started, everyone will become a "New Recruit" (with the exception of the officers), until the changeover is complete. Thanks for your patience and understanding, and I hope tomorrow's run goes fantastic! Good Luck!

Just so everyone knows, Confliction is officially back in business. Prepare for uber-goodness. I would like to try and pick up where we left off last November which is mainly finishing Naxx.

The new guild rank system will be going in to effect at the beginning of next month. The only real change is that promotions will happen every twenty levels instead of ten and minor alt promotion changes.

Lastly, continue working on your forum posts (if you've been tasked with writing one). I only have one (besides mine right now) and I'd LIKE to have one for each class by the end of the month.

Everyone keep up the good work and I'm looking forward to starting this new year off right with you guys!

A New Guide for Guildies

A few members of the guild and I have noticed that a few of our Raiding Guildies are either spec'd incorrectly or playing their toons incorrectly for their spec. In an effort to help (in order to increase overall DPS, Effectiveness healing, or Effectiveness in tanking), and after talking w/ a few guildies, I have decided to create a few forum posts for each class / spec that will cover most of the essentials. These posts will contain such pertanent things as a link to wowhead with the PREFERRED (but not mandatory) spec tree build, spell rotation, glyphs, and primary attributes. To reiterate, these are PREFERRED builds, but they are not required. They are merely suggestions to help you get to where you need to be for your class. Trust me, a lot of research will be going in to EACH post before it will be approved for full-membership access. Thank you for checking this out and assisting the guild and yourself for future raiding!

A few things have crossed my desk in the last week or so that I'd like to discuss with everyone.

1. Guild Ranking remodeling
2. DKP Concerns
3. Raiding
4. Recruiting

I will discuss these for a minute for everyone who visits the page.

1. Guild Ranking remodeling: Due to the amount of alts in the guild, a suggestion has come up to redo the ranking system in order to encompass the growing majority and to alleviate any confusion. The primary suggestion is creating ranks for officer alts and for member alts and then to condense the present ranks to make it so that in order to gain a rank through lvls, you'd have to gain thirty lvls instead of just ten (i.e. lvl 1-30 would be Squires, etc), allowing that lvl 80's would have their own rank. Any comments or suggestions can be made through this news reel or via in-game mail. I'd like at least the officers opinions.

2. DKP Concerns: Why're we transitioning to DKP? Would'nt DKP allow more oppurtunity for ninjas? What happens if I don't sign up for any events or recieve any DKP? Doesn't DKP mean the people who have the time to be in game all the time will be recieving all of the loot?
        Well, here it is. We are transitioning to DKP in order to create a more fair system of looting. Do you think it's fair for a person showing up to a mount run ONE time to win a mount that you've been farming for by sheer luck of the dice? Do you think it's fair for another person to recieve T8 gloves from their first raid when you've ran the raid every week for months for just that piece of gear? I don't think so, and I've heard plenty of complaints from other people saying 'that should have been mine'. But I digress... more on all of that in a minute. DKP within the guild will essentially be along the same lines as being able to trade items w/in the two hour trade period. NO DKP will be awarded during PUG runs. Using the master-looter system and DKP will actually be pretty much the same as having things on group loot. The person who wins the bid, recieves the gear. Any trading after that is still acceptable, but the trading party still loses their DKP. That basically means, if you have more DKP than your friend, but you want this friend to have the gear, you can still bid on it and give it to them, but you still lose the DKP. Whether we stick to the DKP system or not, all raids done with BoW WILL BE ON MASTER LOOTER. If you haven't signed up for the site or WON'T sign up for the site, then you will simply recieve no DKP and will therefore NOT be able to bid on items predetermined to be DKP items (BoP mounts and cosmetic items for now). I won't be kicking anyone from the guild for not signing up for the site. However, all officers and Jr. Officers MUST be signed up with the site before 1 December, or they will be demoted to their appropriate lvl rank. All other lvl 80's are still highly encouraged to join. As far as the people playing the most recieving the most DKP, yes. More than likely, they will be recieving a majority of the DKP, however, there will be plenty of other ways to recieve DKP other than raiding in the near future. All you have to do is keep up with the guild events as they come up. Also, people who have a lot of DKP from showing up for events can ALWAYS bid on items FOR other people. I hope this all clears things up a bit.
        And here's your chance to give me your opinion on DKP! Either post a comment on this news reel or send me a message in game telling me how you feel about DKP. If enough people tell me it's not worth it, then I will be glad to cut it back down to master-looter and the luck of the dice. If NO ONE to less that 25% of the guild comment or send me a message, then the system stays. BoW is mostly a democracy after all.

3. Raiding: Currently, I would LIKE to continue farming 10m OS and hopefully start working on leaving drakes up. I would also love to move in to 10m Naxx starting Saturday evening at 6PM. If anyone has a suggestion on what day we should make 10m OS a permanent thing, please let me know, otherwise we will have to continue the assualt whenever we get the chance. Same thing for 10m Naxx. Prepare for 10m EoE runs as well in the near future.

4. Recruiting: We are still ACTIVELY recruiting members. Continue talking to your friends, and even people you know IRL. Talk them into joining our server, joining our game, and/or joining our awesomeness. Make sure we're looking for quality players as well. No more Crovaxx's please! lol I'm not quite ready to get into the guild recruitment channel yet, either. They say beggars can't be choosers, but we aren't begging yet. We're just looking for more.

LVL 80 Deadline!

All LVL 80's MUST be registered with the guild website as soon as possible but NLT than 30 Nov 2009. Any lvl 80 not registered with the website who participates in raids will NOT be awarded DKP and will therefore be short that much DKP when we do the change-over to the DKP system in January. Once you register with the guild website, ensure you are checking out the events roster at the top right of the homepage so you can sign up for the upcoming events. It's not hard, but it will be enforced. For an explanation of DKP, please review the info tab on the left hand side of the home page. Any further questions can be addressed to Sgt Wilson, a.k.a.
