Order of the Sword & Rose
Xandius perks up at the four escorts. He shuffles towards them with what would qualify as enthusiastic steps.
“An escort to the Captain? How wonderful! I was just planning on spending the day standing on a corner giving wisdom to those in need. Lead on my fine fellows. If the captain is in need of a private session, I am only too happy to comply, yes.” Xandius follows his escorts.
Xandius brightens at the sight of the large pink warforged.
“Jaggie! These fine men are taking me to their Captain for a private wisdom session. My reputation must be spreading, yes? You can come too if you need some as well. I have not yet had my morning meal, oh how I dread the thought of spending my precious coppers on that brigand Cog’s pea soup. But what choice do I have? Can’t very well eat the coppers can I? Giving the Captain his session should not tax me overly much as I did have quite a restful sleep, yes.”
Xandius chuckles, lightly smiling. He absentmindedly scratches at his right hip and looks over his escorts and their impressive uniforms.
“You younglings should wear something less restrictive so you can move about more freely, plus you all seem rather tense. Take some deep breaths and relax. You’re welcome.”
((catching up after coming back from vacation, thanks for being patient))
::Lyrica quickly stows her gear in the quarters assigned to herself and Jeatra, and after opening one of her numerous boxes and retrieving a special set of magical pipes. She makes sure everything else is secure. One rather large box and bag is removed from the magical backpack, immediately the scent of fresh baked sweet rolls fills the small cabin. ******** She takes a short detour to the airship’s mess, and hands off the box and the bag to the cook there. Her face all full of smiles and laying on her thickest charm as she indicates the contents of the box, a half dozen crystal bottles of a very fine lavender colored liquor. “Spring Wine for the captains table. If he will have it.” And then the contents of the bag, layer upon layer of fresh baked goodies, sugar candies and other confectioners sweets. “Something to make your work easier, good cook, your choice of when or if to serve them.” And almost as an after thought she hands over a small wooden box, upon lifting its lid it is revealed it is full of some extremely exotic spices, all in whole form. Attached to the lid are two very fine metal rasps (to grate the spices for use). “And a gift especially for you, dear Chef.”
Upon hearing the muster call she begs leave from the cook and heads upstairs, her eyes bright and cheerful as she stands next to Jeatra for the speech. Rubbing her arm with the opposite hand, she listens intently to Points’ speech, letting her bardic senses rise fully so that she record it properly in her memory, moved herself to a few tears that she quickly brushes away at certain times. Jeatra’s warmth as the blonde halfling leaned against her was a welcomed presence, and she resisted the urge to hug her companion as the speech reached its climatic end.
Lyrica smiled and nodded her agreement with many of Points words, and removed her hand from her arm to give Points a genteel bow, for once silent as she ran over the speech again in her mind.
