Valianna relaxes a little as they watch their adopted home town receding, pointing out various landmarks to Tyrael.  Perhaps this would be a good trip - there were at least plenty of friends to keep them company on the journey.  The fate of their previous ships still weighs heavily on her mind, and she tries to ignore the nagging little doubts about the whole venture.

Watching the excitement on her son's face, she wonders again about the wisdom of bringing him with her... but she couldn't bear to leave him behind for so long, and she had certainly not been willing to let Points go alone this time.  But if anything happens to Tyrael, she will never forgive herself.  She shakes her head and smiles slightly, remembering the words of the strange little druid the previous evening.  Between Cromm and the Green, Tyrael will be just fine.

"Remind me to tell you something about Ty later, love.  Didn't have time last ni-"  She looks up in concern as her world darkens momentarily, her arm tightening nervously around her husband.  A familiar voice immediately calms her, and she gives a sigh of relief before turning to greet the mage who would surely ensure nothing untoward would happen to their ship.

"Versatillas, good to see you!  If visiting dragons is your idea of adventure, then you've come to the right place..."

"...Visiting Dragons...?"

Versatillas brings his hand up to his chin in thought.  "Well I have yet to meet many amiable dragons, but if they seek to cause trouble let there be dozens, judging by this band."

Versatillas flexes a little remembering the dragon slaying journeys that he and his companions have been involved in.  He doesn't let the Eberron bound dragons worry him too much, he has had other fish to fry so to speak.  Being unprepared would be a bad idea, however.  Looking around at the rest of the group he realizes more and more that it was probably a good idea that he came by after all.

"Speaking of dragons," Deriaz pipes up from where he sits near Jaggie, "how far inland are they? I mean, sure, I've seen a few, but. . . Do they actually. . ." The warforged stumbles, trying to find the right words. "Do they actually group up somewhere south of Stormreach? This is the first time I've heard of it, so I'm rather curious."

He gives a quick nod to Versatillas as well. "I would hope no one would ask you to leave, either; I don't see a problem with you coming along. How many rooms does the ship have? . . . There's bound to be at least one room left somewhere."

Points returns his weapons as he turns to see... "Versatillas!  Welcome aboard! As I recall, a Wizard is never late…”

Points cringes as Valianna and Deriaz both shout out the word ‘dragon’ multiple times.  He notices as one of the crew stops and turns at the word before heading off on his errand. “Um… folks, could we please leave off the discussion on potential wildlife adventures for the moment? Some of the listeners are not privy to all of the details of our journey.”

“As for rooms, there are plenty below decks.  I will gladly show the way or we could wait until after the tour…”

Valianna turns pink with embarrassment, and speaks to Points in a hushed tone.

"Sorry, love... I thought everyone knew!  I mean, Hoch and Aluatris and Jeatra at least, and Sunky I think, were there when we were discussing it weeks ago.  And why would you not tell the crew?  We don't want anyone jumping ship before we get there because it's not what they signed up for..."

Her whisperings are interrupted by a distressed screech from Tyrael as he loses his grip on the cloth rabbit he is pointing with and it goes flying over the rail.  "Oh no...  Oh, it's okay... don't cry sweeting, we have another...  Oh dear..."  She hugs her wailing son tightly to try and soothe his tears, stroking his hair and moving away from the railing before he can lose a puppet as well.  With an apologetic look at Points she heads for the stairwell, murmuring to Tyrael as she goes.  "Let's go to the cabin, huh, and look for another?  Yes?  It'll be all right..."

Somehow, he really started to come to expect that he was always the last to know anything.  Then again, I guess it wouldn't be the first time.

After a while, spent casting his mind to the winds, he found the place, an airship.  Well, hopefully everything is alright.

A couple moments later, is the rustling of the wind, he vanished from his study, and reappeared in a cabin, on an airship high above the land.  Smiling, he conjured up his favorite chair, and looked about.  Good, he thought, I got the right cabin.  Now to wait till one of them comes in.

The silvery eyed elf cast his eyes out the window, relaxing for the first time in a while.  Now he just sat, waiting.

Lyrick had chosen an interesting cabin amongst the guest quarters. One of the smallest along the main deck, this particular cabin sat right next to the public privvy and across from the largest of the guest quarters.

Let the others argue over who gets the big room...Best to remain unassuming for now, I wouldn't want to cut my escape short with a premature landing on my part...

Wincing as his thoughts lead to Vali's confrontation with him in the hallway, the bard slings his packs across the bed of his cabin. Pulling his wet things off he rummages through his luggage and pulls out a length of line and stretchs it across the room, tying up both ends so it hung suspended right through the middle of the cabin. With few deft movements he arranged the majority of his wet clothes across the line, hoping they would dry overnight.

After dressing into a fresh dry set, the bard did his best to remove the effects of frostbite and hypothermia by casting a quick healing spell upon himself. Quickly donning his armor and weapons along with his smaller adventuring pack  the bard stepped back outside of his cabin.

If anyone had stepped in at that point they would have found the floor strewn with items carelessly tossed aside in Lyrick's quest to find the line and a set of dry clothes, and an indoor clothesline leading from a dresser to a post of the bed frame. A clothes line whose occupants were even now dripping across everything else.

Feels just like home...

Walking down the hallway Lyrick emerged back onto the main deck, prepared and refreshed. Stretching out to his full height the human went over to the nearby railing to watch the landscape pass underneath all of them.

understanding Points wish to be with his family for the moment, zolt decides to just enjoy the sights of the city as it passes him bye. Slowly sipping the last of his tea he wonders at the vast impact that stormreach has had on his life.

Spying the Kunderak enclave he thinks of his foray with the guild into the Vault of night and his side project therein.

As House Jorasco passed below he remembers the time spent searching for Varro during the incident with the psion Mekari. (not sure if I spelled that right, been way too long)

As House Deneith passes below he remembers the many jobs that he took from them when he first came to stormreach, the dirty job of restarting the pit making him scowl slightly.

As stormreach begins to fade into the distance he decides to sit back and watch the clouds, trusting that later he will have the chance to discuss with Points exactly what his plans for the trip are and how much danger all of us are actually in.

As the ship suddenly began pulling away, Jeatra was likewise pulled away from her thoughts of infiltrating that mysterious door. With a quick tug on Lyrica's hand to follow, she rushed over to the side of the airship.

"Come and look Lyrica! I bet we can see all of Stormreach from up here!" The halfling grins brightly as she looks down as building race by underneath. Off in the distance she spies a familiar farmland and rolling green hills. "Cerulean Hills!" With a blush, she spins around and looks at Lyrica, excited about seeing the place of their first date. "That has to be a good sign for this trip!"

Versatillas watches Tye's toy fall calculating if he had the time to dive after it and make it back before anything dangerous happened.  Deciding on the less flashy, albeit safer means, he simply conjures a new one with a minor spell from some cloth he had in his pack.  Looking up he puts his finger up to stop Valianna as she turns with the sobbing Tye to walk away and quiet him.  Versatillas chases her a moment to catch up, "Lady d'Eberron!"

He offers up the toy, it appears to be as identical as he could manage, but he's hoping that Tye wouldn't notice some minor details.  He's not often left in the care of their most precious possession, but he's seen the Tye's toy often enough.  "Valianna, I believe Tye dropped this?"
