As a pair of elves talk in the kitchen this morning, the scents and smells of cooking emanate from the kitchen.  They talk about various things, just enjoying themselves.  The older of the two, a male, moves about the kitchen with a grace only found in practiced use, and is busy creating many different things.  The thick scent of peaches and pancakes comes at first, followed by the scent of meat and other things.

As the sun begins to rise, he starts laying out various of his creations in the hall for all to eat.  Fresh pancakes with a carmelized peach syurp.  Meat pies of beef, onion, egg, mushroom and bacon.  Thinly cut slices of beef, pork and chicken, with various trimmings.  Plenty of bacon and eggs, as well as fresh fruit and the like.  So many things set out, there is more than enough food for everyone and then some.

"Breakfast everyone, come and get it!!"  He shouts, as he sits to eat some himself.  Having conversation and time to let the morning break.

The delicious aromas attract attention, and soon a delicate drow face peeks around the door with wide amber eyes.

"Breakfast?" the girl murmurs quietly, and slips into the room.  "It is smelling very wonderful..."  Sokoya helps herself to some fruit and pancakes, and sits a little apart from the others with a shy smile of thanks.

Rumors. Stories. Word spread thru tavern tales and thru the mouth of drunkin sailors. It is the best information attainable for free. It is the word she lived by. Many a contact she had in these parts of Stormreach. Word had reached her ears that another of her kin had entered Stormreach. And not just another drow, another Su'Acon.  Her only other family member in town was well known. Most did not put her and her "sister" together as they were quite the opposite. This new "sister" must be found and found quickly.

Solynari set out quickly in search of her "sister". Word spread that she had taken refuge with The Fellowship. She knew this was a guild not to be taken lightly. Her "sister" had once been a member there and they had ties with Crimson Nexus and a few other large and prominent guilds with the city. This was she found fascinating and one could say she grew excited at the thought.

She examined all areas around the guild house and found a small perch where she could sit and keep watch. Anyone who she did not recognize and who met the portrait she preceived would be followed.

Teldyn was quite pleased with the things he had made.  Then a thought had crossed his mind.  He wondered if he could do this, cook, for a living.  He had some skill with it, no doubt.  I mean, they say that alchemy started in the kitchen.  As he laid out his creations he smiled at the thought.

He went out the front door a moment, and looked around.  He did notice that there was a decent spot next to the fountain and quickly dispatched one of his work golems to run to a few shops in the marketplace to gather some materials.

Going back inside, he started to lay out the spread and opened some of the windows, and the front door, which in his opinion, had been attached far too long for a front door of the Fellowship.  Letting all the aromas filter out into the market, he thought as his golem gathered some materials, and he went back to thinking about his new idea.

After a second helping of the delicious pancakes, Sokoya offered a quiet word of thanks to the elven cook and headed up to her room to fetch a cloak.  The fresh air coming in through the open windows was enticing, and she had spent too long cloistered in the guildhall with her fear.  The Harbour Murderer had been despatched, and there was no longer any need for Suki to hide indoors.

The girl gave herself a little pep talk as she headed back down the stairs, trying to shake off the lingering feelings of nervousness that had dogged her ever since the murders started and Jaggie had warned them all not to go out unless in groups.  After all, had she not made her way to Stormreach alone, after the shipwreck?  Had she not managed to secure occasional employment as a musician in House Phiarlan?  Had she not found herself a safe place to stay, with the Fellowship?  She was as capable as any adult, she told herself sternly, and she could certainly walk around the marketplace without fear.

Making sure her lute was secure across her back, Suki swirled the cloak around her shoulders and headed out the open door, planning to spend an hour or two browsing the market stalls before heading to House Phiarlan to see if there was any work for her today.  She took a deep breath of the outdoor air, savouring the salty tang it carried from the harbour.  Patting her moonlight-pale hair into place she smiled as she strode towards the new plaza with as much confidence as she could muster, happy that the ugly rune markings had finally been erased and the marketplace was a brighter and more welcoming place these days.

Solynari sat and quietly watched the shopkeepers place their wares on the tables in preparation for the day’s sales. Little children ran about and often into each as their parents began to wait on the mornings first customers. The sun slowly rose into the sky and cast its rays across the open market. She sat in a little nook hidden from the bright sun. It gave her a great view of the market and enabled her not to squint because of the sun.

A new figure appeared coming from the Fellowships hall.  At first glance she wasn’t sure if that was her intended target. Watching the movements, she caught site of the lute across the persons back and doubled checked her notes. This had to be her! The drow moved to the fleeing shadows. Quickly and deftly, she leapt from roof top to rooftop, all the while her eyes upon her prize.

Now on the ground, she pulled the hood of her short cloak over her head and blended into the growing crowd. Taking a ripe peach from a fruit vender whilst he was occupied with another customer, she continued to follow the unsuspecting female. Solynari stayed roughly fifteen feet or so behind and was sure to stay within the crowd as to appear one of them.

Oblivious to her follower, Suki wandered from stall to stall inspecting the wares on offer but rarely engaging in conversation with the vendors.  After quite a while of apparently aimless meandering, she finally bought a small bag of assorted fruits from a grocer's stand and sought out a quieter corner to sit for a while.

Munching on an apple she watched the now-bustling marketplace for a time, enjoying the busy-ness of the town.  Tucking the apple core neatly back into the bag, she wiped her hands on her cloak and pulled her lute around to check the tuning.

Satisfied with the sound, she began to play... at first what sounded like practice chords, but gradually developing into a lively tune.  She played quietly, so as not to attract too much attention, but used her skill with the instrument to infuse the music with some of her own joy at being outside on a fine day, gently transmitting that happy feeling to those who passed close enough to hear.

Solynari followed the young girl from stall to stall. On occasion she would bump into a fat merchant and help them with the overstuffed coin purse. A smile would cross her face when she did this. Looking back at her quary, she noticed the woman had sat dwon and began to play.

She stood but just out of view but still within listening distance. She would have to admit, the girl was quite good. After several minutes passed by, she walked over to the bard.

"Good morning. Your music is most pleasant. A fine tune for such a beautifull day. I believe I have not seen you here before. Are you new to Stormreach?"

Sokoya gave the stranger a small nod and a smile of thanks for the compliment, but said nothing for a moment as she concentrated on finishing her tune with a little flourish.

Setting aside the lute, she glanced up shyly at the woman and spoke in a soft, lilting voice.  "I am thanking you for the kind words, my lady!  I am being in this town for a while, but I am not sitting here to be playing many times."  The girl looked out across the busy marketplace, then back at Solynari with a genuinely innocent smile.  "I am thinking that there are being many many people here to remember, it is perhaps being hard to know them all?"

"You are most welcome. Your music is soothing. And yes, there are many, many faces here. While it would be hard to know them all, there are some that you never forget."

The drow nods and bids her farewell. As she leaves, a small piece of paper drops from her hand. She blends back into the crowd and is soon gone from view.
