You'll need to host any server-side scripts somewhere else,unfortunately.  The problem with that kind of stuff is that thepermissions required of server-side stuff allows the possibility ofdoing pretty much anything, and we'd have to approve each scriptindividually, in addition to re-approval anytime a change was made.

If you can outline what your script does, how it does it, and if it'ssomething that could be used by others, I could write a .Net version ofit and throw a new content type around the functionality.  If youwanted to open it up like that, I mean.

Problem with it is, it probably requires a socket to be opened to the SOE site, and PHP (*puts on flame-proof jumpsuit*) is a pretty bad performer overall.  Also, if SOE makes a single change to the formatting of the pages that it's parsing, it'll break.  If it was alright to let you change it without any intervention from us, that might not be a big problem, but as it is, we can't let unchecked server-side scripts run at all.

Kinda gets me... They've been promising XML in the EQ2Players forums on the SOE site since the first day the game itself was released.  With that, we could do all kinds of fun stuff...

The PHP stuff I've done in the past has been pretty handy for doing little things guildportal wasn't doing yet - but I hosted both the data and the .php elsewhere.

Since then, Aaron (because he's the man) integrated the kind of stuff I was doing on the side right into guildportal, making my code look crappy by comparison no longer necessary.

I had one of those running for almost a month before they broke it!
