There seems to be quite a bit of discussion on people liking or disliking the new roster interface. At this point, however, I don't even see documentation regarding the XML interface. I would love to group and cross list information over characters, quests, raid schedules, etc. In other words, I'd love to develop a set of XSL scripts that actually group and cross list the information that is being stored on the guild portal server. However, I don't see any documentation supporting this. I know I can write the software to do this. What I don't know is the format of the current information. For example, if you look at the epic quests in everquest; there is one for every class. For my guild, assuming people will participate and update their own character information, I'd love to be able to track their progress and plan raids based on people's needs. If Susie (lvl 59enc) and Bob (lvl 61clr) both need to go to Chardok because their characters epics, I'd like to write an XSL script that identifies a zone, the mobs to kill, and the people who need the kills. With the current interface, that type of information is only identified through a painful manual process. Having a script to automate something like this would really enhance the usability of the web portal.
