I made the menu with the menu maker.
I have the js file.
I hosted the images in photobucket.

But what do I do with those hosted links? Do I put them in the js file somewhere, and if so where?

OK so by some luck I actually figured out where to put the pic and to make it show you where to put the pics. But for the life of me I can't figure out in the code where to put the mouse over pics I tried every place in the code that I could think of and still nothing. Could you take a look at the page and help me figure it out. The url is below and the menu is on a test page that why its not by the banner yet

Lure:

In the .JS code from that file, you will see references to the images/pics but they will have something like:

writeButton("","http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=21942&TabID=199004","hi_menu_b1",143,20,"Home","",0);

Usng my example, you will want to replace the hi_menu_b1 text with the full URL to your image on the PhotoBucket service.  In my case, this line of code looks like:

writeButton("","http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=116799&TabID=996801","http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b240/heroesincsg/temp/egypta_b1",143,20,"Home","",0);

Do that for all the writeButton lines & that will give you your menu.

NOTE:  When you created the menu in Menu Maker, you needed to specify the URL to page that the site visitor will be sent to when they click on that button -- i.e. the "GuildID & TabID URL (see my example above).

Now, you will have the menu but it will not scroll with the site visitor.  For that, you need some more JS code.  I found some free code that I am using at http://www.jtricks.com/javascript/navigation/floating.html

I hope that helped.

It appears that your menu looks fine to me & that when visitors click on a given button, it sends them to the right page on your site.

Is there something specific you are seeing that isn't working?  Maybe you already found the problem after you posted your question

well the botton are supposed to be mouse over so that when you hover over the button it should go from gold to anaqua color. Now I have the pics of both buttons 1 with gold and the other with aqua. But I can'r seem to figure out where to put the aqua buttons in the code. I tried several place but they are all wrong I guess since when I save it and test the menu it doesn't change color when I mouse over.

Now I understand.

You need more JavaScript (something with a mouseover & function) that will swap the images in & out accordingly.

If you view the source from my site, you will see that there are several "function" routines that accomplish this task.

Hope that helped.

yes but shouldn't menu make already have it in the JS file? I mean it does the switching colors in menu maker why not in my webpage?

hers is a partial copy of the html below.

I am not at my computer (at a friend's house -- hence the sig by Stark Fist ) ... so I don't have my .JS file from Menu Maker to look at.  So, other than opening that file & taking a look for the & code, I must have found the code somewhere else.

I do see the problem with your code though:

src="http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b188/kftj414/epmenu_top.gif" alt="" height="64" width="137"></td></tr><tr><td><a href="http://epstaghelm.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=68031&amp;TabID=986800" ="turn_over('epmenu_b1')" ="turn_off('epmenu_b1')">

the code has the same graphic name as the (which should have a different name).

I believe that Menu Maker made "_out" named files.

I think you'll be fine if you change the file names to different names than the file names.

A lot of great info here.  I too am looking at doing this.

Just need to find out how to make the Menu retrack and add an image to attach to the right of the buttons that will scroll with the menu until you it.  Just like Tech's post on their site Shibumi Website.

Any one have info on this plz let me know.
