Mail Notification v6
by Mottie
Description
This mod opens a popup to notify you if you have a new mail message. It was written for users who wish to hide their top menu bar (state bar/log in bar). Or if you just want a bigger message telling you that you have mail. I've set it up to open either a growl window (timed popup) or a facebox (popup you have to close).
For more information on the custom variables, please see
this post
.
To style the growl window (pictured above), use the "Growl Window Styling" Mod or refer to
this post
.
To style the Facebox popup window, please refer to
this post

Signup Status Color v5
by Mottie
Description
This mod will add CSS classes to the character status, so you can set the color yourself with the CSS and the script will do the rest. Within the script, you can set it to just color the Status column or the entire row. This is what it will look like:
*Note: this is an old screenshot, but the code still works

Getting Started!
I followed the path that is mentioned in the directions for uploading the gphelper file. It is not there. For kicks, I tried all of my toons' saved variables folders and it's not there. I also searched my computer and only found the one that's in the addons folder - which is not the one to use........right??? The addon seems to work within the game. I have been able to use it in game. I checked the file after I exited the game. Not there.
So I must have missed a step in the installation or something. Was I supposed to create that file myself?
Thanks, D

the file is created automatically when you exit the game. It should not be in any toon sub folders. it should be in the WTF folder under whatever account name you are logged into when you run the /gph update command. Inside that account name folder should be a "Saved Variables" folder with the file GPHelper.lua in it.
When you do a seacrh on your computer, try *.lua for the file to search for and see if it pops up. You can limit the search to your World of Warcraft folder to help narrow and reduce the search time.

I am having the same problem. This file does not create where you say. I have tried the search and again I only find the interface/addonns folder .lua file...

Killgasm has it right:
World of Warcraft ->
WTF ->
Account ->
<<your account name>> ->
SavedVariables ->
GPHelper.lua

I had the same problem...if you're running Vista or Windows 7 it may be the security settings. Try right clicking on WoW and then click "Run as Administrator". Once I did that it created the .lua w/out any problems.
