Fingers of Fury!

    ok here's a question - and sorry for the dumbness maybe following, but trying to take in and learn this.

    I like the Mini Calendar and would like to replace my Events window on my page with it - can the Mini calendar be used on Home page (or any other page for that matter)? I play Everquest 2 - and would have to remove alot of the stuff in your code for WOW - no worries on that.

    Honestly, I don't know where to put the code you have supplied - it seems to go on the Calendar page, but dont' understand how to get the Mini Calendar to display on another page.

    I also still use some templates on our page - as I don't fully understand how to convert to total CSS with out losing everything I have You can look @ my page http://totalcarnage.guildportal.com - I use the Freeform boxes on my site to add some of the code (once I change it to fit the EQ2) - sometimes I get an extra empty box on bottom (like on the calendar page).

Thanks in advance ...

Hey Draylor!

Looking over your site, it seems the best place to add this code would be into your free form text/HTML box you have set up for guild donations.... add the code while in HTML mode (). Then just add a "Calendar - Enhanced" into one of the side columns. You can go back and change the event icons from WoW to EQ2 ones once you have it working the way you want.

    Mottie,

        Thanks again for your help ... I have it working (Some what) on my Test site - http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=223157&TabID=1880885 - I added it to my "Donations" box like you stated - adjusted the Pixel size to my right column width. I didn't know I had to add an Enhanced - Calendar on the side (Which then seems to reference the .sidecalendar code)

        I am trying to figure out how to adjust the colors (which I'll get this one now worries) but I can't figure out how to add icons and how to get the "POP-UP" to occur on my test event.

        Also, if I have a page with no free form HTML box, and I add one to put code in, it shows up on the page - blank. Is there any way to make this not occur? (sorry for side question)

Hey Draylor!

Check out this post on how to add your tooltips back, then look over this post on how to add custom content box HTML to hide content boxes.

Mottie,
    Thanks for the quick response. I still need to glance over the tool tip page - and see if I can get it working. The Custom HTML box and how to hide it - I guess I am doing something wrong. I tried to put that code to 'hide' it in my footer (we have a pay site), but it doesn't hide the one I have on my calendar or fourms (think that's where other is). I got the one of them to hide, but that's because I put the code in a pre-exsisting HTML box I was using (Similar to the suggestion you had for my Home page).

    Again, thanks for all your help ...

Hi Pleasuregirl!

It looks like everything should work, you just need to add an event that has a keyword. Try using "Fun event" instead of "Fun run", or just add a "Naxx" event and see if it works.

Hi Mottie!

YES, now it works on our event calendar!
But still we cant see it on our enhanced calender, can we do something to get it work as u show on your testsite?

Every event we need to use some keword?
Change it to the blue keword in for ex. this code?
events.push(["Karazhan|Kara","http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa236/Mottie1/testsite/icons/Kar.gif"]);
To make it work we need to change it every time when we create an event?

Thx for your help so far Mottie!!!

Hi Pleasuregirl!

When you create an event you do need to use a keyword that matches the events from the calendar script
events.push(["Karazhan|Kara","http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa236/Mottie1/testsite/icons/Kar.gif"]);
From the example above, any event that you name "Kara" or "Karazhan" the script will automatically add the Karazhan Icon to that event. I don't understand what you mean by changing it everytime you make an event though. It should be part of the event title, if you want to change the code in the script, just change the keyword in blue to whatever you want.

You found a bug in my script for the mini calendar, I just updated the main calendar code so it should work correctly now - sorry about that. You can now click on the mini calendar and have the event popup.

Edit: Oh but I don't know why the popup window doesn't show the time for your events, did you set the time when you made the event?... it works fine on my test-site 3.
