Well, images can't stretch as they have a set width/height. There are some 'hacks' to make it look as though the banner stretches. Both are not simple and require a bit of thinking.

Hack 1: Create a table and split your image into 3 parts, Left side, Right Right Side and Centre. Depending on how you want to cut the image, you can create the illusion of it stretching by have the middle part set as a background image.

ermm something like
[column A]                                                   [column B]
{left image              }{centre/background}{right image}

so when you stretch it you get
{left image              }{centre/background                 }{right image}

oh I hope that makes sense

Hack 2: Use CSS to do the same above

For this you'd create a container, then add a left image and right image. The container uses a background image. The left side is another bit of CSS (div tag) to position the main part of the image, the right side is another CSS (div tag to position the right image.

With CSS you can 'layer' the images so that main image always appears on top, and the right image appears below that. Think of sliding doors, as you stretch the page the right image appears below the top one. The first background image is there in case the banner stretches to silly dimensions like 1600px.

I don't know if my site has the effect you are wanting to achieve or not.  Aftger not finding an easy way to stretch the banner, but wanting the sides of my page to line up with the edges of my banner, this is the solution I found.  My goal was to make it so that it did not matter what resolution someone was viewing the page at.  I wanted the banner/tab buttons to always line up with the rest of the page and be the same width.  The way I did that was to make the banner image (or flash in my case) 950px wide.  I then set the width of the rest of the page to be 950px wide.  You can do this in the control panel by going to Styles & Colors > Page Styles.  Just fill in the desired width in the Body Content section for Width.  Or, if you use custom CSS, go to your custom CSS.  Insert "width:950px;" (minus the quotes obviously) into the Body section of your CSS and insert your desired width.  I chose to go this route so that the images/page would not get distorted.  It keeps the page uniform no matter what.

Hope this helps  I remember trying to answer this for you before (as Zeeliah), but can't recall what I said or what the response was.

When you use photobucket, make sure you use the URL Link and not the Share URL.

It looks like you are using this link:

Try using this one:

Hope that helps
