To me, fonts and typography are very important to the look of a website, just as it is important in all other forms of media. However, I have found that our selection of fonts are very limited. On Vendicta's homepage I have tried embedding our font, but anyone using Netscape of Firefox and even some with firewalls are not able to see the embedded font. I've used microsoft's WEFT to embed it. I believe I can also cover myself by using Netscape's Truedoc, but then I have to be able to add the font face html command to titles which I can't do with the limitation to characters currently set in place.

Since it is a small font I had to set the point size high and these people see an ugly 30pt Arial. YUCK! So as a work around I added a download of the font in our welcome message and in our library. I will probably post it in the news too. Once downloaded and installed they always see the site as it should be. Since we only have about 15 members this is not a huge deal. We also don't get a ton of visitors to our site (I don't think.)

So my question is, has anyone found a better way to embed fonts? Is there a way to make "image" titles for boxes on guildportal. Oh ya, I tried but again, I noticed that the title box has a limited amount of chars I can add. It wasn't always this way and I don't know when it changed. Lastly, if anyone visits the site your opinions are welcome. Don't you think it looks better with the Adine-Kirnberg-Script on the left rather than the plain Arial that you see in the other two columns? I think it sets the menu apart from the rest of the site. I just wish there was an easier way to make it "pretty" for everyone upon initial loading.
