Mail Notification v6
by Mottie
Description
This mod opens a popup to notify you if you have a new mail message. It was written for users who wish to hide their top menu bar (state bar/log in bar). Or if you just want a bigger message telling you that you have mail. I've set it up to open either a growl window (timed popup) or a facebox (popup you have to close).
For more information on the custom variables, please see
this post
.
To style the growl window (pictured above), use the "Growl Window Styling" Mod or refer to
this post
.
To style the Facebox popup window, please refer to

Signup Status Color v5
by Mottie
Description
This mod will add CSS classes to the character status, so you can set the color yourself with the CSS and the script will do the rest. Within the script, you can set it to just color the Status column or the entire row. This is what it will look like:
*Note: this is an old screenshot, but the code still works

Fingers of Fury!
I'm not sure if this should be under features or under tech talk, but I am hoping it is an integrated feature as I don't think I'd have rights to get my hands this dirty in code here.
What I am looking to do is to hide certain elements of a page based on the access rights of the member. More directly: my guild admin team wants to have a needs section but sidebar'ed with raid points for tracking purposes. The members would only see the needs section, but any officer or higher would see the raid points as well.
I know you can hide entire tabs, but is there a way to hide individual elements, either through coding or through some hidden display option?

this is a good question and i've also been attempting to find a way to do this, so far it's been a matter of having seperate pages for admin info, wich the admin's seem to like cause everything they need to look at is right there...
I do know that some content types allow you to input the veiwing requirements though the content box will still appear if you don't have the appropriate rights to view, but you won't be able to view the actual content....
If anyone know's how to do this one i am also interested.

Getting Started!
I'm going to third this. I don't know how hard it would be for the developers of the site to do this - but I think EVERY box on every page should have the option of setting access level. It would make designing the site so much easier.
I also think there should be a way to set the "default access level" that each feature starts out with when you create it. Most of my site is NOT public access, so every page or feature I create that has an access level gets changed. It would be nice to be able to set a default somewhere.
