I'm trying to add custom information to a welcome message, but I don't want to have to re-type or Cut/paste the default welcome message, is there some way I can use code to display the default welcome message in other access level welcome messages?

something like $block[Default_Welcome_message]

any help would be much appreciated!

I believe if you just leave the other messages empty, the Default welcome message will display to everyone. I could be wrong, though, since I haven't used that feature on my site in a while.

I have the others empty at the moment. My problem is I want to display the same message to EVERYONE, plus a custom message to my members, officers etc

IE

Default welcome message here.

If Member: display member message here.

if officer: display officer message here.

if assosiate: display assosiate message here.

Something along those lines, if anyone can help that'd be great.

Ok lemme try this again since nobody seems to understand:
Anyone who comes to the site would see:
"Welcome to Entropy's Website ...."

Then Assossiates would see:
"Welcome to Entropy's Website ...." and below that:
"Greetings Assossiates of the Entropy ..."

Members would see something like:
"Welcome to Entropy's Website ...." and below that:
"Please check the events tab for a full raiding schedual ..."

thus Officers and Super Admins would see:
"Welcome to Entropy's Website ...."
"Please check the events tab for a full raiding schedual ..."
"Officers Please encourage our members to recruit and assist them in any way you can..."

Now my big problem is I don't want to have to retype every access message each week (we have a quote of the week) I'd rather just change the default and have it loaded into the other messages via some bit of code. so my question way back at the begining was and still is can I do this? if so can someone give me something to go on or tell me how?

I think you'd have to retype the message for each access level in the Welcome content container.

Otherwise you're asking for a script which could lookup everyone's access level and display the right code - my feeling is that isn't open to us because it could create a security hole.
