I use FireFox but just had a member show me that the Shoutbox does not resize properly in IE, breaking the forum layout.

Here's an image of our forums in FireFox, displaying properly:

Now, here's what it looks like in IE:

As you can see, the middle column is not resizing.  I tried viewing it without the Shoutbox and it works fine, so this is definitely a problem with the Shoutbox.  Please fix this ASAP.

Hrm. Might have been a shout with non-wrappable stuff in it. Regardless, I went and checked it in IE 7, 8, 9 and 10 and didn't see the same thing. Mind asking him/her if it's no longer doing that on their side?

I did see the content table smashing out of the overall page container on the home page and some others, but that's just going to happen no matter what when you've got your General Style Settings > Layout > Widget Table Width and Page Wrapper > Wrapper Border width both set to 75%, which is crazy small. Might want to set those to a static value like 1100px or, if you really want the elastic feel, 95-99%. Otherwise, there will be smooshy-ness, especially with images and URLs, etc.

I'm not sure how you are not seeing this.  The broken image above is from my computer and it looks the same on IE on my members' computers too.  I just checked and it's still broken.  Also, the width of the wrapper is not the problem.  I tried adjusting it and it made no difference, even when set to 95%.

The problem is within the widget itself.  It is simply not resizing in IE.  It works fine in Chrome and Firefox.  Since there is no admin editable code, I'm relying on you to fix it.

When I view that page in IE 8, there is no stretching. I don't have the Shout input box displayed (as I'm not a member) so maybe that is what's causing his distortion, Aaron?

Edit: I added a shout box to the middle of my Forums page on one of my test sites and it works normally there. Odd...

I don't believe I'm using any coding specific to the Shoutbox and I had a third member test it yesterday.  She also saw it stretching in IE.
