I'm thinking there should be some sort of "Support Account", possibly tied to the user account.

For instance, on the weekend I submitted a support ticket, but since then, I came to a workaround/solution to the problem, but, besides submitting a new support ticket, I don't see any way to follow up.  Also, as I was trying to solve it from the user end, the various things I had attempted would possibly have helped technical support in their problem solving, but, beyond submitting new tickets, there was no way to communicate the new information.
