Very very frustrating trying to get anything done here. Why are we paying money for services that aren't there as advertised?

Go to www.guildportal.com, click Support, click Contact. You're taken here https://guildportalcom.zendesk.com/access/unauthenticated, where it says:

GuildPortal Support — Support Software by Zendesk THIS IS AN EXPIRED ZENDESK ACCOUNT.

You'll get a similar message when you try to create a new support account. The support links ARE A COMPLETE DEADEND.

If I COULD enter requests for support, I would ask for help with these 2 problems:

1. IE users can't reply to forum posts.
I use Chrome, my gf and some other guildies use IE. The IE users can't reply to my forum posts, nor can they create new threads. Another user, not sure what browser she was using, was also unable to reply to my thread, but she was able to create a new thread.

Forums are broken, please fix.

2. Editor has a mind of it's own.
Using the editor, both in creating/editing pages as well as forum posts, sometimes (seemingly arbitrarily) changes the color of large blocks of text, to something dark/black. When I go to the html I find tons of div blocks with some new color added. This is very frustrating having to go through the html and remove all this junk...that came from where exactly?

I'm really at the end of my patience with this web host. Can we get some kind of answer, as to whether it's alive or dead? I'm sure we can't get our money back, but if it's dead I'd at least like to know, so we can start sooner rather than later in making the transition. Also, if anyone has any input to good alternatives, I'd love to hear them (you can email me at bku567@gmail.com).

thanks in advance for any help,

Brian

While I can't answer for Chrome related issues, another poster has pointed out a fix with IE11:

At the top-right of IE11 > click the "gear" icon > Compatibility View Settings > Add this site.

I can get to the Support Ticket / Contact page just fine, using Firefox 26 and IE 8.

The editor issue, I cannot answer that for sure, unless there is a conflicting CSS tag(s) that are altering things. I don't have those issues at all. I suggest using Firefox with the Firebug add-on to see what CSS tag relates to your color altered text.

So, my problem is loosely related.  I am the super admin for two guilds on the guild portal site.  The problem I am having is that I do not have the editor buttons available to me when I attempt to post on the forums.  If I add the guild portal site as a compatibility site, the editor buttons/bar disappears completely.  If I take the guildportal site off the compatibility the bar is there but the buttons do not work.  I put in a ticket and have not received a response except for the automated response that my ticket was received.  Its frustrating that as the superadmin (and the gm of the guild) all my posts look like I have triple spaced all my posts and I look like a complete idiot! Is there anyone out there that can help me out?

Have you tried Firefox?

Guys from my guild mention the difficulties of IE 11 with the site and had to use Chrome to post. I used to be a die hard IE fan until I actually read up and later installed Firefox. I'm using their latest version and have had none of the problems I see people posting about here or on my site.

No I have not tried firefox.  I have used Chrome though with the same results.  Others using IE don't have the same problems as I am having so I figured it was something with me.  I can try firefox and let you know the results.
