Hello all! It's update time again, and this week we've got some fixes and an enhancement or two:
  • Fixed: In event follow-up > attendance, updating was only happening if you filled out the form in a specific order (ie, checking the box indicating the member attended before entering the amount of DKP awarded for attending).
  • New: Event admins may now update attendance directly from events. As was the case when setting attendance in follow-up, allied events put the responsibility for tracking attendance and awarding DKP on each guild the event is shared out, allowing for each guild in the alliance to have their own DKP point structure.
  • New: The process that checks for new one-on-one chat requests now updates more frequently.
  • Fixed: Clicking Return to Preview while in drag-and-drop page edit mode wasn't always clearing out the cache, and refreshing the page right away would not always reflect the changes made.

Is this why all my events now have attendance and DKP boxes on them? If so, can we *please* have an option to disable these in the display options, or the ability to disable all DKP settings for a guild? Not all guilds use DKP, and being forced to see these boxes on an otherwise elegant interface is pretty ugly.

My guild doesn't track DKP/attendance either and we would appreciate the ability to turn them off.

I would also greatly appreciate the option to turn off DKP on events.

For starters, we dont use DKP in our guild, and also dont care about attendance. Would be nice if we were more hardcore but we're not!

Secondly, when I first set up the Calendar on our website I noticed that only admins can post events. Now, in our guild we like everyone to be able to post events so this meant that I had to make every member an events admin! Not great but was necessary at the time. With the DKP thing it means every member can see the DKP, it looks ugly as hell and is very unnessessary.

I don't know of a way to toggle off the event processing, but you can give each member access to put events on the board.  Also, you can make "Events Admin" default for everyone with member access if you would like.
