Need to contact a dev outside of support forms. What are my options?

I have an expectation for support and responsiveness from GP on about the same level as I expect my dog to crap in the toilet.

Which is to say, not much, and occasionally they'll both crap someplace I really don't want them to.

Good luck with your issue, but it doesn't seem as though there is a whole lot of active development going on here.

First, This is a problem only able to be corrected by a dev that has access to the guildportal code that we do not have access to. There is nothing I can explain that could be fixed by anybody who cannot access the code itself.

Second, Under no circumstances should anybody ever post a security flaw publically (or really privately for that matter) in detail before it has been fixed by the only people who can fix it (devs), especially one that has existed for at least the past 3 weeks and still has yet to be corrected. It would only put more people's sites at risk. To be honest, I'm surprised this hasn't come up before as it's relatively easy to do and no hacking passwords or the like is required.

Now should the problem be fixed, and verified it is fixed, I'd be more than happy to educate you as to exactly what and where the security flaw was as it wouldn't put anybody at risk.

I sure as hell won't post in detail the security concern for two reasons:

1) I won't put other people's guildportal sites at risk, which doing so would no doubt do.

2) There is nothing that can be done on my end (or any community member's end) to correct this problem. Which is why I'm seeking other methods to contact a GP dev because it is a serious security issue, and I have yet to get a response by a dev (either on these forums or the support form).

All I seek, is how to get ahold of a developer privately outside of the support form.

Pull a whois on the domain name. Give the domain owner a call.

Ok, so there's a problem out there that should make us all worry that the sky is falling but you won't even give a slight hint as to what the heck you're talking about.  Maybe you were just as vague in your Support ticket and they are not responding to something they don't understand.

Oh wait, how about this, submit another support ticket and ask them again.  Or perhaps, since you are completely vague and secretive about this issue, it is at all possible that what you see as a security issue is something cause by yourself in the way you have your guild page member levels set to, and not really a bug at all?

Or maybe the problem you are speaking of is actually an ability you have granted to your members by giving them "forum" access when approving them, when in reality that gives them the abilities of "forum moderator".  You don't need to check anything at all when approving members.

I'm at such a loss as to what you are referring to, I'm just taking shots in the dark.  Maybe they are on Christmas holidays right now for the entire month.  Or maybe there was a glitch and your support ticket got lost.  Try sending it again.
