I am trying to fix my banner in IE.

I have pushed the banner down where it is beside the left content box which is what i use as a navigation on each page.

Now in Mozilla, the banner is on top of "spacer" boxes, which I placed as not to lose content...they had blank space and the banner appears ON TOP of them.

In IE, the banner appears UNDER the spacer boxes.  I have tried setting the banner division to a z-axis above the boxes, but to no avail. I tried setting the banner division to a higher z-axis, and setting the division of contentbox to a lower z-axis, still to no avail. My guess is the table somehow has a default in IE that automatically goes above the division. Any idea how I can get around this?

Alright I found the problem in your code.  I feel like an idiot for not seeing it sooner (spent three hours looking at it before I got a coffee)
Anywhay after the caffine kicked in I saw it.  You had the right idea with the "z-index: 1;" but you forgot to put in the first half of the code "position: relative;" Your code sure read "position: relative; z-index: 1;"

Thank you so very much!

It's always something that's just a small piece of code that I miss. I should have to name my first-born after you. lol. Greatly appreciate it man, gonna tuck this tidbit of information away in my mind.
