Mail Notification v6
by Mottie
Description
This mod opens a popup to notify you if you have a new mail message. It was written for users who wish to hide their top menu bar (state bar/log in bar). Or if you just want a bigger message telling you that you have mail. I've set it up to open either a growl window (timed popup) or a facebox (popup you have to close).
For more information on the custom variables, please see
this post
.
To style the growl window (pictured above), use the "Growl Window Styling" Mod or refer to
this post
.
To style the Facebox popup window, please refer to
this post
.

Signup Status Color v5
by Mottie
Description
This mod will add CSS classes to the character status, so you can set the color yourself with the CSS and the script will do the rest. Within the script, you can set it to just color the Status column or the entire row. This is what it will look like:
*Note: this is an old screenshot, but the code still works

My understanding is that the way sound is added to the sites throughguildportal is not w3c compliant so it doesn't work with FF.

Try a simple Java Script.
I have one on my page, that has been reported by my Firefox user base that works for them. (It was posted somewhere in the fourms already).

Here is what I use:
Just replace my mid links with your own.
if(navigator.appName=="Netscape"){
('<embed src="
http://home.comcast.net/~eq_kampf/MotDWebsite/Music/Home.mid
" autostart="true" loop="true" controls="LargeConsole" width=145 height=35></embed>');}
else if(navigator.appName=="Microsoft Internet Explorer"){
('<embed src="
http://home.comcast.net/~eq_kampf/MotDWebsite/Music/Home.mid
" autostart="true" loop="true" width=70 height=45></embed>');}
else{
('<embed src="
http://home.comcast.net/~eq_kampf/MotDWebsite/Music/Home.mid
" autostart="true" loop="true"></embed>');}
//-->
</SCRIPT>
<NOSCRIPT><EMBED src=
http://home.comcast.net/~eq_kampf/MotDWebsite/Music/Home.mid
type=audio/midi loop="true" autostart="true"></EMBED></NOSCRIPT> <NOEMBED><BGSOUND balance=0 src="

" volume=-600 loop=true></NOEMBED>
