How would I go about putting an image on the even rows of the grids? I just want an image to repeat its self as the background. I am fairly certain this was doable long ago when I was a member of a GP guild. I am likely just stumbling past another thing in these late hours.

The goal is to change the background of the content box to the left of this post with a image. I am fairly certain that is done with the even rows.

Thanks for your time.

From what you are describing, I don't think GP was ever set up like that... the even and odd row coloring is done with lists, like the forum topic list and info box list. But I don't ever remember it doing that to the "MessageAuthorInfoCell1"

So to clarify you want the author cell next to the forum post to have a background image in every other row?... it's possible to do with scripting, but I wanted to make sure that's what you meant.

Errrr. I meant every author row.... now I see the stupidity of my logic in naming what row. I just said even because I happened to notice that was the one that my post was labeled with when I was fooling around on my site.

So yeah every author row.... sorry....

Hiya!

Ok, try this script... add it to your Footer HTML
<style type="text/css">
.AltAuthor { background: #ddd url(); color: #333; }
</style>
<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function(){
 $('.PostItem1').filter(':odd').each(function(){
  $(this).find('.MessageAuthorInfoCell1').addClass('AltAuthor');
  $(this).find('.MessageTopBottomCell1').addClass('AltAuthor');
 })
})
</script>
Now, you can't add an image to each author cell, but with this script you can add a background image (place the URL inside the parentheses above, url(MY IMAGE URL HERE) top center ). The "top center" puts the background image at the top of the cell and centers it from right to left. If you want to move the image down a bit, change the "top" to "10px" or whatever to move it down.

The colors selected in blue might be a little too bright for your layout, but it's there to show you that it works.
