Becoming Adept!

Now I have a fairly good grasp on the basics of css I have completely redesigned my site from the beginning, and now nearing completion there is a couple of things I can't figure out
  1. I have fixed & centered the background image but the content boxes are all slightly over to the left, I want them centered
  2. I can't find a css value to edit the Class Headers in the roster
  3. the links don't change color when you hover over them although I'm fairly sure the code is ok...
A:active {color: #daca92; text-decoration: none;}
A:link {color: #c8c8e8; text-decoration: none;}
A:hover {color: #daca92; text-decoration: none;}
A:visited {color: #c8c8e8; text-decoration: none;}

If anyone could help with these it would be much appreciated & I could stop banging my head on the desk

Ok I solved the centering problem, & decided to try something different with the links so I changed to code to this...
A:active {color: #daca92; text-decoration: none;}
A:link {color: #c8c8e8; text-decoration: none;}
A:hover {color: #c8c8e8; text-decoration: underline;}
A:visited {color: #c8c8e8; text-decoration: none;}
For some reason which completely escapes me it works on some links & not on others, another minor hiccup  I have noticed is the mouse over grid rows only work on the home page
.MoGridRow { background-color: ;color: #c8c8e8;border: solid 1px #2d2d2d;border-color: #c8c8e8; }
Any ideas??

  • Class headers in the Roster use "ContentBoxTitle"

  • Links should be the same on the entire page, unless you specifically define the CSS for a group to be different.

    A:link is for an new link (never visited, not hovered over)
    A:hover is what you see when you hover over the link

    These are usually a different color or different style from the regular text and from each other, so the link stands out from the rest of the text.

  • Your "MoGridRow" is working properly, but since you have it the same color as your "NormGridRow" and "AltGridRow" you won't see a difference.
