Hi Huthur!

Actually the page footer has limited space. If you put more than 7000 characters in it, it strips off the extra characters. So you might want to look through the code you have in the footer and move what you can out of it.

As for your recent post widget, I did put in a ticket asking about why it seems to be different from every other site I've seen. Good news though, if and when the code is made to look and work like the other widgets, the code to remove duplicate posts will still work

I'm not exactly sure what's going on. I tried to use your script in the welcome widget again, and now both Event and Forum widget is just fine! I'm puzzled, but happy

I've got a big problem with this script now. The whole portal freezes. Can't do a thing. This is the sinner:

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.axiomfiles.com/Files/258012/events-posts2.js"></script>

Our portal previously had to use 2 in this script for some reason. Now it crash our site completely. If I remove the number, like in your original scripts, the portal works, but the modifications is not in effect. You have any idea how I can solve this?

Hi Huthur!

I'm not sure what's going on, but I've applied to your guild again since the event and recent posts widgets are both blank to me (public). I'll look into it.

You got access now. Want me to add the scripts so the site freezes then?

I've added this now (but need to add a events-posts2.js for it to screw up):

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.axiomfiles.com/Files/258012/events-posts.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function(){
 modifyRecentPosts();
 hideNewEvents({
  hideNewMonths: 3,   // hide events more than x # of months in the future
  hideUser:      true // hide the user that added the event
 });
})
</script>

By the way, this script worked fine 1 day ago. The last 24 hours, there's been a change from guild portal that causes this I think. I've not touched the script in this period.

Hi Huthur!

Ok, add the script back...

I forgot that I had to update the "events-post.js" because it was having a problem when a recent post title contained a smiley face in it, I forgot to update "events-post2.js" -> darn you Mr Smiley!!

The script is now updated with the "events-posts2.js", as it have been for the last month.
The site crash badly. Freezes all other tabs in Chrome, IE etc.

I'll have to set the script back to a working condition now, because we have the need of some functionality for a raid and siege later today.

I'll add the bad code back in 5 hours or so, and it'll stay that way for about 12 hours. I don't know how much you can figure out with a frozen browser though. It's obviously the java that causes this serious problem.

*Edit*
It looks like Opera is not affected by this bug. So you can use this to dig some more perhaps.

Hi Huthur!

You just need to clear the browser cache, it most likely has the old version still saved. The easiest way to do this would be to click on this link, then hit the browser reload button.

This have nothing to do with browser cache. I've put the number 2 back in the script in the Welcome widget not. As I said, opera is the only browser that is not affected by this bug.

*Edit*
Have to open my site again soon now. I'll post a support ticket on this script and ask why my my site previously only worked with events-posts2.js and not events-posts.js, as other sites did. And I'll have to ask what have changed to screw up my alternative way of making this work.
