Here is my take on the issue...
I am the Guild Leader of WCGS, a multigame multiserver guild program that allows individual guilds to link in to a larger network of like minded players. When a guild becomes a member of WCGS they take on our standardized rule sets and website format but retain the ability to control in game events and memberships. This allows our members to go to different games without worrying if they are going to be in a guild that they can work within. If a guild belongs to WCGS then they know it is run in the same spirit as the guild that they have been in. With that in mind I would like to stress the immense help it would be to be able to flag an Officer to be able to accept applications at least to the associate level without giving them the ability to revoke or demote any other members. There is an option that allows you to create super admins and then select what powers you give them but once they have been given power over the roster they have total power... even to boot you. So I agree with the OP that having a application acceptor flag or what ever that we could attach to any of our members regardless of access level would be great. Only if this is implemented I would ask that the automated e-mail service send a message to me when ever an application gets accepted because as guild membership grows it would get tough to keep track of who all is entering the guild when your no longer personally accepting them.
