Something happened recently where all "Public" people became "Applicants".  This was pretty unfortunate because when people left the guild I was putting them back to "Public".  I really need an "Friends" or "Aquaiintances" rank as we use "Associates" for people in the recruiting stage.  I'm sure we could use other ranks for functions within the guild as well.

I was just looking for this myself and found this thread. Really need to be able to segregate groups of people because we have a group that needs access to social forums and another group that will need access to event forums. The only way now is to tier the forums access so that associate and above have access to the event, and member and above have access to both the event and social, but this isn't the way I wanted to do it and I dislike the names.

I don't want to pull the "other sites do it so you should too" card, but I am paying for a premium site and it's bad enough that my members have to compete with the global community for their usernames, we should at least have complete content control within the site itself.
