Becoming Adept!

Hi guys.

We want to create a recruit form for new members to fill and send to one specific user (like the guild master). I tried finding an existing widget, but for my surprise you can not find such a widget. Even though every guild recruits new members. Why not automate this task and receive the submissions for review in your GP mail account.

The main things this widget should have:
- configurable email receiver/s (Guild Master and Officers)
- configurable titles for rows
- configurable rows and input boxes (single field input box, multiple lines input box)
- text boxes for each row (for description or tips for the specific row)
- check boxes
- configurable title
- reset button
- send button
- it has to use same theme as the page
- mandatory anti-spam CAPTCHA

When the applicant clicks the send button the widget formats the message and sends it to the configured GP Inbox

Example of received email
==================
IGN: johnthemighty
Gp Username: johnmighty
Class: Rogue
Level: 86
Real Name: xxx xxxxxxx
Age: 26
Ex guild: none
Your reason why you want to join us:

PS: Sorry for the title spelling error
Thank you for reading this.

Hmm really no activity around here?

Can I get at least a hint from the dev team that you have at least read this thread?

Have you looked at the "Application Questions"  Under "Member Management"?

It has a lot of these options already.  Video Link

Here's my problem with the "Application Questions" area...

1) It's annoying for members who have already joined your guild to have to fill one of these applications out if they want access to the forums and/or any other member area of the site.
2) It's confusing for NEW applicants. The first place a new applicant is going to look for an application is an area that usually says "recruitment" and not the area where you register for the site itself.
3) There are no REQUIRED fields in the application. While this provides a way for current guild members to skip over all that non-sense, it also provides a way for new applicants to... Well, skip over required fields.
4) Customization is very limited. As a solution to issue #1, I attempted to add a disclaimer for current guild members to skip the application - But I couldn't. There is no way to do that. I even tried to add a new multiple choice question and just not have any multiple choice options. I can't even do that (it just adds a text field).

My suggestion would be the same suggestion this user had. To add an application widget... Heck, I'd be okay with annoyance #3 and #4 if I had this option.

Thanks for the ideas.  At this time I am not sure what if any of these changes will be made.  I will add them to the feature request list.

I do agree with him. There doesn't seem to be a proper separation of current members to those actually trying to join and more flexibilty with the application form. For example allows the ability to radio buttons or checkboxs for different options.

I as well would like some feed back to the possiblity of creating a mod to change the form a bit.
