Hello,

My voice server status widget is not working, and in fact has not for many months. While my IP and Port are displayed, no channels, Ventrilo server name, user lists, etc are shown.
For the first month and a half to two months of my GP subscription, this widget worked correctly. The time frame of it breaking did not correspond to any page changes which I made.



I'm subscribed through Guildportal, and the information I'm entering in the widget settings are directly from the Ventrilo/Mumble Server 'Settings' page in Control Panel. I've tried using both the "InstantVentrilo.com" and "Light-Speed.com" settings in the Supported Providers tab of the widget settings with the same results. Externally generated Ventrilo Status code, entered in Free Form widgets, show the proper info:




I've just filed a support ticket to go along with the ticket I filed on April 1st (!), which never received a reply beyond "This is an automated message letting you know that your support request to GuildPortal has been sent and will be reviewed as soon as possible!", some 208 day ago

Hi there,

For reasons unknown, some IP/port combinations don't pull back info from the Ventrilo.com site (which is what we parse for the display). Even though the site might display the channels and users if you manually go and enter the info, for some servers a socket connecting doesn't get back the same info. What I'd normally do in a situation like that is replace the status widget with an external script, just like you've done (in fact, that's one of the ones I end up using often).
