Mail Notification v6
by Mottie
Description
This mod opens a popup to notify you if you have a new mail message. It was written for users who wish to hide their top menu bar (state bar/log in bar). Or if you just want a bigger message telling you that you have mail. I've set it up to open either a growl window (timed popup) or a facebox (popup you have to close).
For more information on the custom variables, please see
this post
.
To style the growl window (pictured above), use the "Growl Window Styling" Mod or refer to
this post
.
To style the Facebox popup window, please refer to
this post

Description
This mod will add CSS classes to the character status, so you can set the color yourself with the CSS and the script will do the rest. Within the script, you can set it to just color the Status column or the entire row. This is what it will look like:

A new Achievements system is going live with today's code push. From the Control Panel, click Member Management, and then Achievements.
Achievements are configured by administrators to automatically award members of your site for their participation on the site. You can choose from the different types of actions to reward achievements for, such as: new posts, replies to posts, voting, adding shouts, sending in item requests, reading library articles, adding story chapters, participating in chat, and more.
You can also set the threshold for awarding, and even have multiple achievements for different thresholds of the same activity. For example, you can have an achievement for 10 posts, then another for 50 posts, etc.
To go along with this, there is a new widget available for you to add to any guild page. It's called, "Achievements." It will display a listing of recent achievement earners on your site, and adapts itself to which container you place it within. If you have it in the center of your page, it'll display wider, with a bit more information. If it's in one of the side containers, it'll display in a list.
Clicking on a user's name from various other widgets will also now show their achievements.
Tracking of progress towards achievements started yesterday, so if you were to add an achievement now for posting more than 10 times, it will not add achievements for all of your members who have posted more than 10 times. It is in effect only moving forward. If you want to start completely over from now, the Achievements section of the Control Panel also offers the ability to reset all progress for all members to zero.

Hi Aaron!
I was going to mess around with this, but I found a minor problem... when I add the widget then click on the Edit link inside the widget on the Widget/Contents tab of the control panel, I get this message:
Content Editor:
Achievements
This content type is either display only or no content editor is currently available.
But it does work when I click the edit button inside the actual widget.
Edit: Also, I'm guessing the achievements are not retroactive?

Ah, thanks Mottie! Prepping the fix now.
Edit
: Right, not retroactive. I updated the initial change log post, too.

Hi Aaron!
I can't get the Achievements to work... I added one that gives an achievement after one new forum post (and I've posted a few times since then) and my widget still has a message saying no achievements have been configured. Also is there a way to see the actual count for each achievement? Or a list of possible achievements that the members can see?

Hmmm... Did you post from an account that was an associate or higher level on the site? It won't award them to non-members.
I'll put together a progression view on the Achievements widget.

Ya i'm not getting any updates either. I made one for two shouts... did three shouts and nothing.
I also made one for entering chat - again nothing.

I'm a bit unclear about a few of these.
It seems that responding to a post counts double - one toward posts, and one toward responding?
Also it seems editing a post counts toward postedit and posting...
Is this correct?
If responding counts as posting also, why have them as two different categories?

Becoming Adept!
I made series of achievements then tried them out and nothing is showing. For example I made one for posting one shout and no one is getting credit. Is the achievements system working?
