Who, what, when where, why and how fabulous!
The City of Gaymers is by the THE premiere GLBT coalition of superteams in the entire game of CoX. Our main servers are Victory for heroes and Liberty for villains. We have also expanded our heroes to Protector and eventually (in the furute) our villainous teams to Triumph. I urge all of you to consider this in character creation and transfers. This method of allows all of us to make the most of teaming. I feel the need to tell you it is a tested method and works exceptionally well for us all.In a nutshell here is a little about our SGs and what we expect from our members as well as our potential members.
To recap our 10 heroic Victory server teams as so far are- A.Q.U.A. (sea/aquatic themed toons), Superbia (heroines only), Cirque de Sogay (circus themed), The Adventurer's Guild (High Fantasy), Ascendance (redeemed game based villains like Mooks, Tsoo, Clockwork, etc.), Machinexus (cybernetics/robotics), The Brokeback Rangers (western/gay rodeo) and our generic/misc. non-themed teams of Eighth Wonder, SPECTRUM and Quintessence, and of course the City of Gaymers. All are equally valued and offered as choices for inspiring you to create alts. More info on these groups are in the members only section and is immediatly unlocked to applicants so as to allow you to check out what we have going on. Being gay/lesbian/bi/fabulous/an old cat lady is not a requirement for membership- only that you wish to be an INTERACTIVE member of NO DRAMA SGs of hero(ine)s. Whether you are on for just one hour a week, or all week, we just ask that you do your best to be a part of the SG in more than just name alone.
If you are truly interested in our family of SGs, you will first need to do two things. They are MANDATORY so please read this carefully-
The first is to post an introduction in our aspiring members/introduction area. Don’t forget to include your global chat name in your introduction. If you are new to the game, don’t fret we will help you.
Once you have done that, log out. When you are in the logged out mode and come back to the site, you will see in the upper right corner of the site “new user”. Click that- it will open up an application request to (specifically) join our SG site, allowing us to open the site up to you. We have tons of great stuff inside- much of which is locked away from the public. You must fill out the application completly in order to be considered for membership. Have no fear, only I(ndigo) read them. They are kept on file should for any reason they need to be referenced. We are very good at quickly processing people into our group. The only thing that delays this is when people do not follow the directions stated above. Once inside this is what we want from you-
Write down the global chat names of any members who offer them and most importantly, use them. Why be in an SG if you don't want to engage the membership? You might see an invite to a global channel named City of Gaymers upon logging in. If you do, accept it and add it to your heroes INDIVIDUALLY as sadly, the system does not do it for you (a quality of life issue I hope they will eventually address). This is our universal channel for all or our membership spanning our heroic and villainous teams as the majority of one is a member of the other. If you do not know how to add the channel or how to use it, one of us will be glad to explain how to do so. Yet another reason for the importance of knowing members global chat names. If you need help on setting that up, let anyone of us know and we will talk you thru it. Also the new 'HELP' tab will be able to assist you by asking people on it. I have witnesses them being most helpful. We are looking for membership who is interested in teaming with the other SG members. We are active and wish to remain cohesive. We don't demand that you team with the membership all the time but we have had people join just to completely ignore the membership. What were they thinking? LOL
We know not everyone is a poet or comedian so don’t feel bad if you are not a poster. I do FULLY RECOMMEND reading the posts however. Some are informative, others funny Also PLEASE at your first convenience fill out a personal bio in the section entitled “The Q.U.E.E.N.O.U.T. Protocols”. Both of these actions break the ice and allow you to get to know the other members of the SG, and more importantly them to get to know you. Most importantly...have fun and relax. Games are meant to bring you joy...not drama and the desire for a giant meteor to crash down upon Paragon.
Any questions PLEASE let me know.Indigaka @Gaymer/@Superbia
