Welcome to the Council of Vengance Website!

The Council was formed originally from friends that loved to play together, who were sick and tired of Guilds that only help the select few and put the other members to the side.  Also, to help new users to the World of Warcraft by having long time users and noobs (like me "Shakrie") work together to unlock the new aspects as well as share the knowledge of old game content with each other.  Through this joint venture, the Council is commited to continue to be a helpful Guild, and to expand into new ventures, as put best by one of our leads in a post on the messageboards:

I'd like to see you guys get your mains to 80 as well. The WotLK content is as equally amazing at it can be frustrating. But with the right party, and everyone effectively and efficiently supporting their given roles, Guild 5-mans and 10-25 man Raids can be so much easier when you are running them with people you know and can trust to do their job. 

I have faith that every single one of you in this guild can get to 80 and become an active role in some of these instances and raids. And I know not only myself, but any of us that have reached 80 already in the guild are more than happy to help you in any possible way we can to reach your goals in this game. Durak has already done much for this guild, as has Jermayan and Falkurac. We thrive on seeing our guildmates excel. And we're all committed to the effort to build a functioning raid guild that can take on some of these nasty instances like Sartharion, Naxx, Vault, etc.

Keeping grinding those levels, handing in those quests. If you hit a road block, this guild has far too many members who are more than willing to come and smash it down for you to help you rise above. I am proud to tell everyone that I belong to this guild, because we are more than committed to seeing -every- -single- -one- of our members succeed in whatever goal they have in this game.

My goal is that I want to see us raiding. I want to see our hard working 80s standing up their with big names like Heaven and Earth, Saints and Sinners, etc. Sporting our Naxx gear and our pretty, glowing weapons of uber-pwnt-j00. As one of the guild leads for CoV, I can look over the members of this guild and honestly see the potential and talent that is just waiting to be unleashed.

But let's do it OUR way. Why be 'another' H&E, another S&S? Lets be Council of Vengance. Originality is key. Raiding guilds lose something when they become that popular. I spent time in H&E, not once, but twice. And I learned that they really don't care about their members unless they are part of their main raiding group. As one of the guild leads said to me once: 'We are not a leveling guild. If you are looking for help, look elsewhere'. Kind of selfish, no? Such a big-time guild with the know-how of every in-and-out of every instance, class, build and raid in the game, and yet they aren't willing to share it to any but their few 'chosen'.

Let's not be like that. We are a guild, a family before anything else. And I doubt I am the only one who feels this way. So, lets keep helping each other grow, getting organized, and having fun. This is what a guild is all about.
