Hey Mottie,

First let me say thanks again for all your help before. Apparently the website turned out well enough to make it into the GP spotlight.

Anyway... I'm having problems with the footer.
The link color is impossible to read on the background, but I can't seem to change it.

Here's the coding I have tried so far to fix it:

$block[boilerplate]
<a href="http://www.guildportal.com"><img src="http://www.guildportal.com/Layout2006/GpSpotlightGuild.png" hspace=3 alt="Guild Portal" border="0"></a><a href="http://www.mortalonlinetopsites.com/"><img src="http://www.mortalonlinetopsites.com/button.php?u=Thaeric" alt="Mortal Online Topsites" border="0" /></a><a href="http://www.mortalonline.com/"><img src="http://www.axiomfiles.com/Files/345154/MOlink.jpg" hspace=3 alt="Mortal Online" border="0" /></a>
<hr>
<font color="red" link="red" vlink="red" alink="red"> Best viewed with <a href="http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/personal.html">Mozilla FireFox 3.6.3 +</a></font>

The website is http://forsaken.clangroups.com

I would appreciate any help or insight you can give... again.

Hi Thaeric!

Try adding this bit of CSS to you custom CSS (Control Panel > Custom HTML & Script > Custom CSS > Full Custom CSS (if you are using this already) or CSS Additions to Standard (if you are styling your site with the control panel). Make sure you enable the CSS before saving
.PageFooter a:link { color: #f00; }
.PageFooter a:hover { color: #fff; }

I forgot all about this, with the release of the game my guild plays, we have all been very busy.

I put ...

.PageFooter a:link { color: #f00; }
.PageFooter a:hover { color: #fff; }

... into the additions, and saved it, with no luck. This is what the whole thing looks like right now...

.PageFooter a:link { color: #f00; }
.PageFooter a:hover { color: #fff; }
body { background-position: top center;  repeat-y;}

What am I missing?

Hi Thaeric!

Are you already using the Full Custom CSS? If you are then add that CSS into that area. CSS in the Additions area is ignored if the Full custom CSS is enabled.

Hi Thaeric!

Oh, I see the links are showing up correctly but not the text. Add this CSS as well:
div.PageFooter { color: #fff; }
and adjust the color as desired.

I have tried a lot of stuff, and for some reason nothing seems to work.

I can see the text that says "Best viewed with:"
but the link is black, or whatever dark color that is, and you can't see it unless you hover the mouse over it, which turns it white.

This is currently what is in there now:

div.PageFooter { color: #FFFFFF; }
div.PageFooter a:link { color: #FFFFFF; }
div.PageFooter a:hover { color: #FFFFFF; }
body { background-position: top center;  repeat-y;}

Everything should, by that coding, be white, text, links and hovering links...
unless it is showing up black because its a visited link?
What is the code to change that? *goes to look*

Thats what it was

It was appearing as a visited link, so it wasn't a real problem, was just a perceived one.

div.PageFooter { color: #FFFFFF; }
div.PageFooter a:link { color: #FFFFFF; }
div.PageFooter a:hover { color: #FFFFFF; }
div.PageFooter a:visited {color: #FFFFFF;}
body { background-position: top center;  repeat-y;}

The bold addition fixed it. Thanks for the help as always.

Hi Thaeric!

Ok, glad you figured it out!

But if you want them all to be the same color, you could just do this:
div.PageFooter a {color: #fff; }
Characters: Mottie Motty Mortie Ooshiny Mot Fudgems

I'll keep that in mind. But I'll likely keep it as is, so if I decide to change one color later on, I don't have to try to remember all of this again:P
