Well Mottie I have yet another question for you after being unsuccessful myself.

Is there a way to grab the info/data from .gpWidget-raidpoints and/or .gpWidget-rosterlrg?

There are a couple of reasons, 1st is we have some extended math we would like to do with the DKP for tracking, 2nd I would like to be able to have our active members listed in our Wiki without me having to add them manually.

The tools built in are great and I want to use them without reinventing the wheel, but I would like the ability to do a little more in the background with the data.

P.S. Thank you for all of your help to date, we just made M.E.R.C.S.!

Hey Savatage!

Grats on becoming a spotlight guild!

As for your data question, yes it is possible to grab data from any page on your site. But it is difficult for me to be more specific unless you give me a better idea of what you want - like which column? Where is it being added? etc...

I am working with Savatage on this.  The idea is to grab the entire table that is created by the widget.  Example would be the ability to grab the entire roster table from this page: http://mercswtor.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=342354&TabID=2866001

It is apparent that guildportal feels very strong about giving you access to your own data.  I was working on a php script to scrape the table, but have found that even this is against there policy, and state they will kick you off the site and report your IP to your ISP!

Once we parse the data my goal is to post to a mysql database that will be used for a custom DKP system.  I know Savatage was hoping to post the data directly to our wiki.

My background is in VBscrip, but am hacking my way thru the php.

Any help or direction would be appreciated.

Hi Fyddler!

Well, since you are talking about cross domain stuff, I think it might be best to ask Aaron about this. Maybe he can provide a roster feed you can access. so you can add the information to your wiki.

As for adding data to your GP site. If you can have your php output javascript with a data array, it could be used to populate the roster table. Another option would be to have the php output a "" that has the table HTML to be added directly to the site - sort of like how some server status scripts work. If you show me the basic table layout, I can work on the front end if you work on the server scripting (I know a tiny bit of php and pretty much nothing about mysql).

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
