Welcome
Welcome my brethren!
For too long now our classes have been neglected, promised change and then ignored. Paladins, a class once described as "holy warriors" have been forced to heal from the back lines because their other specs were not viable. Priests, intended to be Azeroth's primary healers have been preferred by raids in shadow form. Shamans have suffered nerf after nerf. We all have reasons to want change, different though these reasons may be, and it is time we united as one to fight for all of our goals.
We three, along with druids, whose support I hope we can count on in the days to come although they stand to gain little from doing so, fulfill one of the most important duties in Azeroth: we heal. Every group needs a healer, every raid several. Even in PvP our importance is recognized. Virtually nothing can be achieved in Azeroth without the support we lend.
So what, my brothers, would happen if, one day, these heals simply stopped? Instances would fall silent, raids would be canceled, the strategies of arena teams would become useless, and the world of Azeroth would grind to a halt. They need us! All players of this game are dependent on us, and thus so is Blizzard itself! We hold great power friends, more than many of us think.
We have tried in the past to fight for improvements, and we have only been ignored. Forum protests have resulted only in bans, and the derisive laughter of the developers. Pleas for change have lead only to false assurances. But what I am proposing has never been tried. It is of a far greater scale than any method used thus far, and will have a far greater effect on Blizzard's precious world. We, the healers on which so much depends, are going on strike.
Blizzard shall have fair warning, and a chance to offer change without the devastating consequences a long-term strike could bring to their game. They are currently in the midst of publishing patch 2.3 and are unlikely to make any changes until it has been launched. They shall have one week from the date of its release to make the changes we demand, or to promise, in enough detail for us to be able to hold them to their words, to do so as soon as such changes can be coded.
If they do not recognize the legitimacy of our demands, then, on November 20th, 2007 at 12:00 a.m. server time for each us, the healers of Azeroth shall begin their strike.
This strike will be broken only when Blizzard does make the necessary class changes, or, as stated above, agrees to begin working on them immediately. Should the fixes not be applied, at least on the public test realm, within two weeks of such a promise, we shall resume out strike.
I understand that, in some cases, the class changes we are seeking may not affect you personally. In the case of Paladins this is especially true, as I am, for the most part, asking healers to stand up for their brothers who have chosen other specializations. However, we must all stand together if change is to be achieved, Few of us remain one spec forever, and what you do now may benefit you in future. Even if not, know that by joining us you are helping your class as a whole, and are aiming for the betterment of the game in general. For these same reasons, I hope that we can count on the support from the druid community. We must stand strong if we are to achieve our goals, and this cannot be done independently. Abused healers of Azeroth unite!

Today our planning begins. Despite the information in the name, this group is a cross-realm alliance, open to members of all "healing" classes in World of Warcraft, and those who wish to support us. Please spread the word about this site and our plans to as many people as possible, as this will only work with near-total participation.
