Code of Conduct WELCOME! First, let me begin by thanking each and every one of you for choosing Ancient Creed as your home. There are numerous guilds on the server that you could have chosen to join, and I would like to say, on behalf of myself and the entire guild, that we are glad to have you as part of this " family ".Ancient Creed prides itself on being a helpful, friendly guild. We strive to assist in making your gaming time a more pleasant, enjoyable experience. The officers and myself realize that without each and every one of you, there wouldn't be a guild. In all actuality, the guild belongs to you, the members. The officers and myself are just here to try to ensure that things inside the guild run smoothly.Ancient Creed is growing daily. With larger numbers there is undoubtedly different personalities, ethnic groups and geographical origins. As much as we would like to believe in " tranquility among the masses ", we are also realistic enough to know that this is not always possible. So, we have constructed a " Code Of Conduct " that we feel will help to make each of you happier in your role as part of this guild. It is not a set of strict rules that are enforced with an iron fist. It is simply a guild line as to what is expected of you as part of this ever-growing family.1. First and foremost, respect. Not only to your fellow guild mates, but to non-guild players as well. We ask that you treat others the way you yourself would expect to be treated. Just remember that everything you do/say in game, that is outside the guild, is inevitably linked to the guild itself. Your personal actions when in group/party, or even in general chat, will reflect on this guild as a whole. There may be potential new members that witness you act disrespectful or rude that will quickly change their thought of joining this guild. Keep in mind that the name " Ancient Creed " is displayed below your name at all times. Display it with pride and let others see what this guild is really made of.2. The guild is here to help each and every one of you reach your goals in game. We will assist in questing (when possible), we will offer advice on things in game that we may have already experienced and we will offer items we have that you may need. But under NO circumstances are you to ever ask or beg for money (inside the guild or otherwise) If a guild mate knows you are in need of money and offers to loan it to you, that is acceptable. If it is given to you with no expectations of it being returned, be grateful. If it is loaned to you, remember to repay it. Just make sure the terms are clear at the time of the transaction. Do not take advantage of someone and their generosity. Also, we do not sell items in guild chat. That is what the trade channel and AH are for. If members have something that is of no use to them and they are generous enough to ask if anyone needs it, that is a different story. But nothing is to be sold in guild chat, period.3. The guild is comprised of members of all ages. Please keep this in mind when talking in guild chat. I am well aware that most of us curse (swear) or have been exposed to cursing, but not everyone is comfortable with it. So, please, let's try to keep somewhat clean. I also highly recommend to those of you that are easily offended by cursing to please use the filter feature. This will assist in keeping harmony inside the guild channel.4. As your time in Ancient Creed progresses you will find that the majority of us have become a tight knit group that not only enjoy the game, but also enjoy one another’s company. This in no way means that there are " cliques " inside the guild. This simply means that we have come to know one another, have fun with one another and look forward to logging on and gaming together. We not only encourage all of you to participate in this, but we would welcome it. However, some members prefer to stay to themselves and are more comfortable not becoming personally involved. Please know that we respect their decision, and hope that each and every one of you will respect it as well.5. What you do in your personal life is no business of mine or anyone else in the guild. We are not here to draw judgment on anyone or their personal lifestyle. So, here is a list of things that we find unacceptable and grounds for possible removal as topics in guild channel and in general game play.(A) Serious references to the personal use of any type of drugs(B) Insults, slurs or malicious insinuations based on racial/religious/sexual preferences(C) Stealing items in groups (Ninja)(D) Offensive remarks or accusations (in guild channel OR whisper) directed at/about a fellow member, in anger, that are intended to embarrass, slander or demoralize. (SEE PART 2)
6. We will gladly help fellow guildies with quest that are either group quest or slightly harder than your level. But we DO NOT do loot runs for gear and/or weapons. Please keep in mind that even though some of us are lvl 70, it doesn't mean that we have nothing more to do. There are still quest and instances that we ourselves need to take care of. So, if you ask for help and you don't receive it, please understand that we cannot drop what we are doing just to help, but if we have the time and aren't involved in something else, we will gladly help you.
The penalty for CoC offenses will go as follows:
1st Offense: A verbal warning and a note posted in the officers notes of your character stating the offense and action taken
2nd Offense: You will be put on a probationary period of 30 days. If you are an officer, you will be demoted during probationary period. If there is a second offense during that probationary period, you will be automatically kicked from the guild. No questions asked.
3rd Offense: You will be removed from the guild
With all of this being said, please remember this IS just a game. Each player has the right to use their playing time as they choose. To some it will be casual, while others take it more seriously. Whichever the case, this code of conduct is here to ensure that everyone in the guild understands what to expect from one another.Again, we are happy to have you as a member of Ancient CreedCheers and happy hunting!
