Anyone have any suggestions on the cheapest way to up my alchemy skill?  SO far, I have been using SoW potions to do it, as they sell decently in bazaar.  But everytime I hit a trivial and start the next level up, it's costing me a fortune.

I've looked at Alla's forums, but they are a bear to navigate.  And EQ Traders information on Alchemy isn't that much better, besides providing recipes of course.

Any thoughts?

Sony Sucketh...

Just do what I do. Become friends with shammies and use them for your pots.

Although I heard making gate pots and Skin spikes was a good way to go. I don't have a shammy so I'm not much use unless you use the above listed ways.

I see my life go drifting like a river
From change to change; I have been many things -
A green drop in the surge, a gleam of light
Upon a sword, a fir tree on a hill,
An old slave grinding at a heavy quern,
A king sitting upon a chair of gold -
And all these things were wonderful and great;
But now I have grown nothing, knowing all.

The only problem with the Distillate of Clarity X and Nodding Blue Lily is that my shaman is a Barbarian, so no foraging.  And currently, I do not have a toon with foraging abilities that can survive in the Dreadlands.

But I will definitely keep those in mind, as I plan on creating a foraging toon at some point to assist in the alchemy.

And the levels he does go up just put it into foraging with the GM. Forage bots ftw!

Wow!  Thanks for the info about the ranger, had no clue.  Will definitely get to working that.  My toon needs the forager for the alchemy, and husband's toon needs foraged items for his baking.  So it will be good all around for us to have one.

Thanks guys!

Awesome way to forage without being annoyed by hitting that forage key every minute or so and if you have a free computer.

Step one: Sign on your forager
Step two: Have your handy dandy forage hotkey available.
Step three: Place drinking bird so that when it goes down it hits the forage key instantly letting you forage.

Just check back every few minutes or so as your actually playing EQ with the toon that truely matters, and make sure to dump the goodies into your inventory.

This actually does work. I used to forage like this with my ranger working on his epic.

ROFL  I had thought of doing this if I had one of the birds, but never actually did.

Can't believe someone has actually done it!

You can add the autoinventory line into your autoforage hot botton and then you do not have to worry about checking back to place things into your inventory.

Just make sure that you have LOTs of 10 slot bags cause they will fill up fast ;-).

I have my autoforage/autoinventory hot-botton bound to my left turn key. That way when ever I move I am foraging.
