I am thinking about building a FS, but do not want to be a pure heal bot. Mainly one that can do dps, heal and damage spells. I also am looking at start with a 32 pt build.

The one I am building is pure offensive spells, well with some heals of course.  Might be wise to talk to aelyin or alauna, they both have fvs that melee.  So I think does cordus.  Others probably do too I just forget.
... its all in good fun until someone loses an eye!

Just a few quick suggestions from me:

1. If you're not set on human and want to be a pure fvs, try going WF LoB. You get greatsword proficiency, WF enhancements and DR and are able to skip the THF feat line for extra casting feats w/o losing much if any physical damage. Pump STR and CON. Have enough CHA to maintain 19 with items and tomes (for level 9 spells) and little backup for the times you get CHA drained.
Pros: you do good physical damage, free to get all caster feats you want (save the DC-related ones) so you're better healer than any other combat oriented fvs, your Divine Punishment is unaffected since it doesn't have a save (for now), you got loads of HP and the ability to get up to 15 DR/ada with capstone. Also, this is loads of fun to play and level.
Cons: low DCs so Blade barriers will be useless against mobs that have evasion; you also need to work on your healing amp.

2. Human longsword dual-wielder with splash (probably monk2 for extra feats and evasion). I must admit I haven't played one of those. You aren't as feat starved as a pure fvs and if you go monk the extra feats really help (for a TWF fvs you need the entire TWF line or your DPS will suffer greatly). You will have to skip some caster feats, lose the capstone and have less SP than a pure fvs.

Pros: More feats than a pure fvs. Evasion is nice, though you need to pump your reflex a bit. If you pick monk you also get to use a monk-stance if centered (but you have to use kamas or wraps as weapons...). 2 more feats than a pure fvs.
Cons: Ability points are all over the place (you need 17 dex for the whole TWF line), less SP, low DCs, no capstone. Less spells than a pure fvs (you end up with a single level 9 spell). Less damage with Divine Punishment.

3. Pure human TWF with longswords - 15 dex to get full TWF feats with +2 tomes, decent CON, the rest goes to STR. You get 8 feats to choose from: 3 for TWF line, PA, Toughness and Quicken are a must, so you're left with 2 feats from: Maximize, Empower Spell, Empower healing (you must have at least 1 of those 3 or your healing will suck really really bad; my choice would be Maximize) and Improved Critical (you can skip this if you plan to make and use 2x Min2).

Pros: Decent offensive damage casting, ok DPS, capstone, more spells and SP than splashes.
Cons: Low DCs, worse healing than WF or caster-specced fvs. Though to distribute ability points.

4. 19 fvs / 1 fighter (Or other class with martial prof) (Half-orc is a nice race) + THF weapon; Alternatively 20 half-elf fvs with Fighter dil - The deal here is getting proficiency with a THF weapon (probably Falchion), skip THF feats line and get more caster feats (as with WF LoB fvs).

5. 20 fvs - ignore combat feats, get Max, Empower spell, Heighten and Quicken. Decent CON, max WIS, some STR. Run around, Cometfall, Greater command, BB, Energy drain and Destruction / Implosion. I know this is not what you're asking for, but if you haven't tried it - it's LOADS of fun. You can still use some THF weapon (mostly q-staves or EpicSOS if you get one), but you won't want to melee with that casting power. You can also pick shield prof and use a weapon you are proficient with and melee if you want. Really, if you haven't tried a caster before, this one is a total blast.

Here's a template that I used on my first version of Coitrippr, it's the build setup that got me into melee/dc combo fvs playing in the first place, after which i started to run my own numbers based on my gear sets and prefernces (and banked tomes, etc).

This one lets you do it all fairly well, not the best at anything, but damn good at most things (for the lvl 18 feat i'd go with empower, but you may want to have a go at some of the other choices in this setup, it's a loose template that you can fiddle with quite a bit without gimping it badly.

Just a quick note on the template i've posted above there, i used this before the Angel of Vengeance came in, the pre-req's aren't hard to satisfy, just drop the unyielding sovereignty, scroll mastery 4,  and maybe a toughness from the enhancement list to give you the ap's you want to pick up the PRE and to max out your smiting line for the dp damage, I'm sure you won't have any trouble working it out, i remembrer it as being pretty easy to respec when the PRE came in without losing anything important.

Also on a lot of my cleric/fvs guys i've been switching out extend for another more useful feat at lvl 15 these days, it's really up to your own personal preference but if you do, you can pick up another combat feat if you want some more dps (gtwf), or Khopesh if your addicted to that crit range, the alternative is to pick up empower heal for massive mass heals in raid situations if you end up going that way.

Lots of choices there, plenty of room to find and hit your own style of fvs i think

Have fun, Coit out~
